actually, mcluhan did say that, the book's first printing had a typo on it, but mcluhan (in true mcluhan form) decided its hidden meaning was brilliant, which (i concede) is. ie: mass age, mess age. someone obviously wasn't paying attention in ENG080, haha. i injected the jocular version cause i felt my rip into him needed a little humour (at least for the sake of all the j-skool kiddies who still worship him).
