the human brain is a massively parallel relational database. We would need to make something enormous to recreate its abilities. And even so, we wouldn't have the first clue how to go about programming it because we cannot accurately describe what intelligence itself is, much less model it.
I do not expect to see real AI in my lifetime. We may see smart systems for controlling airplanes and self driving cars. But they'll be single-task machines and they'll be programmed to that task.
