I am anxiously awaiting my first CCI puppy to raise. I am picking him up from the airport on Wednesday! This whole waiting thing is no fun

You will be amazed how much this little puppy is going to change your life. Such a little bundle of joy and hard work, blieve me, I know.
My advice when you go pick up the pup from the airport, bring some towels and water. Poor little guys have been in the crate a while so you'll want to clean the little guy up before giving him any snuggles or letting him in the car.
My first puppy was a male black lab golden mix. I hope Foley is just as fabulous as he was. I have lots of stories to tell and I'd love to hear more about your CCI experiences.
I'm so excited for you! I'm the recipient of a working dog from CCI and have just fallen in love with the organization. I'd love to puppy raise if I could, as well.
How exciting for you!! I lived once with an untrained puppy. Not so young as Foley will be but untrained. He chewed on EVERYTHING including the proverbial shoes but also power cords chair legs and carpet fringes. I corrected the puppy (just a firm "no")whenever I was around so he stopped chewing on *my* stuff. Smart dog. However I wasn't the puppy's "mom" and I also worked full-time. I kept asking the pup's owner to take him to puppy classes but her attitude seemed to be "puppies chew on things."
Finally my other housemate said "I can't live with this anymore!" So pup and housemate moved. So sad! He was a great dog but untrained.
