I just read today that Houston elected it's first openly gay mayor, Annise Parker. It's always great to hear that a community is able to look past someone's sexuality and elect the right person for the job, but on the other hand, this election had a pathetic turnout. I had a great Friday off. Went and had the Mustang rear window retinted. The place i had it done has a 5 year warranty and after 4 years my tint was wrinkling, so had that redone for free. One good thing about a bad economy. Property values dropping. Unless you're trying to sell your house of course. My mortgage went down $56 and they sent me a check for $510 for overpaying in my escrow account for the new reduced taxes. But then all those reduced taxes mean cuts in services in my county/state.

Thanksgiving day was somewhat bearable. My grandmother actually called me for once. I hadn't spoken to her in about 6 weeks and she told me of her fall about 4 weeks ago where she broke her nose and one of her arms. I had a low key weekend here. Friday i didn't go to Bear Happy Hour and instead stayed in and watched dvd's. Saturday i washed the cars and went up to MD to see how the adorable grok was doing.
