I'm all for legalizing it just so that my fucking pothead friends won't have anything to do anymore, and it would keep the blue-collar plebean slobs from making a fortune by selling it to all these little boys in their early and mid 20's! to be quite honest, i don't associate with those who obsess over the stuff anymore. i find it foul smelling, and the legal issues warrant my avoidance.

if your friends are that into it...i suggest finding new friends. seriously. there's no need to be doing that shit.

I try, but in SoFla, I have a really hard time finding people who don't indulge in it. It's become a sort of dreaded Apollonian plague here, and I HATE it!

I have very few close friends. The one out of which I am making an example in this rant I am sorta dating. He's a friend with benefits because nobody else'll find me attractive. His friends, however, are the worst influences EVER when it comes to drinking and smoking! They're all 23 going on 11, live with their parents, some of them dropped out of college (not my friend, though... he's in 2nd year of Law School), and are basically professional brats!

*sigh* I feel so alone in this world... and I apologize for sounding so Emo! I usually have a lust for life, but it's waning away along with my self-esteem!

I'm not comparing cannabis with alcohol. Enjoyable as they may be on occasion, neither are necessary to live. I am asking why men are so prone to such indulgences.

You, as a guy, relish in the idea that you can walk into an Amsterdam cafe with a joint. Conversely, I as a girl couldn't care less about smoking anything in a cafe or elsewhere. I am not saying that there aren't girls out there that don't think as you or Alfred do, but in my 24 years of inhaling oxygen, I have only met two -- and I went to school with nothing but girls for 14 years! And there are guys who don't like pot at all (my brother, for instance... but he has a vagina, as you well know so I won't go into that! XP ) In any event, I just want to know why the percentage is so much more vast with males.

Again, I have nothing against pot... just the people who (over)do it.
