I've definitely had some similar thoughts lately, about if I could have done things differently and such what I would have changed. My dear, I think we all experience life in constant hindsight. Everyone I know would have done college over again, but also, we would not swap our bad experiences for the amazing ones. And yes, we've had some good times, and together!

I was looking at pictures from Santa Monica and Vista with you, and it made me happy. We've had some good times, and I'm glad I know you. How did I meet you? Oh, right, in the sucky theater department! And, btw, you kicked ass in Alana's directing final. You hit just the right notes, and no one could have done it better.

I think we both miss acting in a supportive environment. Yeah, we take what we need from those times and throw the rest away.

P.S. Call me anytime. I <3 U - Devil Horns!

Sometimes I feel the same way.
Especially about how things seem like such a big deal and if X doesn't happen omg my life will end!! or XYZ because ABC! Etc. And then a few days later I have to ask myself...what was I thinking? why did I care?
That said, nothing that interests you is worthless or a waste of time.

As to the professor thing, you have charmed plenty of people, dear. You are bright and lovely and infectious, certainly unforgettable.
