So I might have some headcanon behind this:
- when Spock’s disowned by his family, he doesn’t have any credits
- so he did some on the side modelling to sustain his education at Starfleet (of course he’s got full scholarship, but living on your own is expensive!)
- he chose this particular brand of modelling because he figured that there’s be less of an audience -> less people would know about it
- Kirk is of course, part of that fanbase and he’s got a limited edition of this poster up on his wall (which followed him to the Starfleet dorm, and later Enterprise quarters)
- Basically all of this is set up for me to say that KIRK MASTURBATES TO THIS PICTURE OF SPOCK. RELIGIOUSLY.
