No, both word came from National Geographic. It often has words that cannot be immediately found in the library's dictionaries, e.g. faience.

Well, I'm only applying to local universities so I don't have to write anything now.

Nice, just send in the results. If I can write an essay decent enough to get a scholarship, what's the point of taking TOEFL?? But I suppose I have to take it just the same.
