Dark chocolate gives me migraines if I have more than a square or two, so I feel your pain. Oddly, I can eat bars and bars of milk chocolate and never have a reaction.

I don't like the taste of milk chocolate too much, though. :/

It's because the dark chocolate has more concentrated levels of caffeine and theobromine, the chemicals that give chocolate its kick. Milk chocolate will have high levels of casomorphin-the opiate in dairy-however, which is concentrated. Milk chocolate is essentially brown cheese with sugar.

I've had to stop drinking caffeinated coffee because withdrawal gives me a migraine and if I drink it every day I get bitchy and punchy. I can drink tea no problem, and even a cup of caffeinated coffee once in a great while. But I don't like to toy with it, and it's nice to be on an even keel.

Sorry to hear about that :(
I feel your pain, after ramadan, I was in pain on account of indigestion every other day. I'd eat too much one day, then starve the next; I forgot to drink liquids during the day - but had no reason to make up for it in the evening, and was too busy to remember... I guess I brought this trouble on my self, unlike you, but it all piled on top of an irritable stomach to begin with :(
