Identity and Other Misconceptions

I'm now in my second year of graduate school at UCI. The skills I've learned as a curator, photographer, and computer programmer are shadowed by the monolith of my graduate career. It's been a long time since I considered who I am and of what importance who I am has to my life and the lives I affect. Maybe I should do that now.

There are certain concessions and compromises we all must make to live in this society. It's going to take revolution on a grand scale to make the kinds of chages you mention. It's going to take more than people committing to not shopping at Target or Wal-Malt. At the same time, I don't think it's very likely we'll see these wholesale changes in our lifetime because the vast majority of Americans are docile and placated and comfortable with the status quo.
