I love the cabin!!!
I think it suits you. I hope the rustic living inspires.
I just wrote a list of what I want to do in 3 yrs about now seeing this post I with living in a simple home with no electricity was on there.

:D ain't it cool?! it has a nice big kitchen~ good for cooking all the home grown goodies!
i'm just a couple miles from where i lived 8 years in the 80's so i know the score. we had no electric the first few years and then had minimum with a couple solar panels. not to mention no car! but i'm getting my motorcycle going by spring.
it can be busy when spring hits, and cuts into art time, but working the land is it's own art i say.

I've always wanted to grow my own herbs or vegetables but I can barely keep a house plant alive. I definitely do not have a green thumb

most herbs are impossible to start from seed, ya gotta get plants. keep trying, you'll get it!

heck yeah. can't trust store food anymore. and if i'm just being paranoid i'll be eating good and riding my horse in the country anyways.
if you would have made it by kent all my stuff was packed for this move.
