Hot and sticky... and not in a good way

Aug 28, 2005 02:30

I really wish this weather would let up.. I got used to the idea of a mild September and this is harshing my mellow.

Not too much afoot.

Let's see...
I went eat Thai food with iamtim this afternoon and became large and replete with food... that combined with the heat made me go straight home and take a nap, which was actually a clever way to melt, ( Read more... )

Hi Richard! *waves*

Sorry I wasn't around last night when you messaged me. My headache became so bad I finally had to go to bed. I'm going to post about my exciting night in a bit, after I've made a pot of coffee. Don't miss out on the hilarity. :P

I would have had so much the harder time had my Phalangists not activated, dude. You can certainly chalk up that win more to luck than to any decent strategy on my part.

Unless you can count hoping to roll a 6 on a d6 each turn a decent strategy.

Eh, that's probably true, but I thought that saying "I got diced!" would be kinda cheap, since you *did* pull off some really good operations against my guys. So I would say that your shit-hot luck augmented your good play.

for the rare insight into the mind of Rich! I've found depression to be sort of cyclical. Tim was just complaining about being really down but he seems to be coming out of it a little. About the same time I was going through the "blahs" and I seem to be coming out of it a little too.

Good luck with the work thing. I hope you find something that is not too horrible.

That the fact you are getting out and doing things is a sign you are coming out of a depression, instead of sitting at home moping. You haven't seemed to dwell too terribly much on things the times we've been out. Everybody gets into funks... and as a recent posting of mine showed, I'm starting to come out of one myself too. Perhaps July/August are the funk months for us? September is right around the corner though, a new month can bring new times.
The job hunt sucks, but you can do it. Just take a deep breath, grab a paper and pen, and start circling way. :-)
And yes, Thursdays are the bestest ever!

Though, I do feel a bit cheated finding out you ditched me for Iamtim....

"But don't worry, if you fall into one again, your adventuring band of neer-do-wells will pull you out of it and slap you around a bit. ;o)"

Yeah rich, I've got plenty of slap-you-around ammunition. So, any time you need a pep talk...

peace out
