Sketch: Ginny

I'm done. I passed German - just (YAY!). Don't know about Psych. but I'm not caring too much ATM.

Soooo..

It's been a while since I've drawn anything, so I've just been doodling and sketching to get back into it (since I have some festive stuff to get in very soon!). First up, Ginny.

Ich danke dir! :)

(I'd write more, but I think the rest of my vocab crawled into hiding after my exam!

I'm glad you like the drawing :) Now I have time I'm hoping I'll get more out...in particular some Snack for the new fest - I'm looking forward to that one! XD

Oh, nice back study! Love the way the braid falls over her back!

Congratulations with the German! And you were so anxious... Good work!

Thanks! :) There's something so drawable about backs - they're all nice and fluid and curvy!

Heh - I was horribly anxious about German...I still have absolutely no idea what I said during the exam, but it can't have been too bad! Not fun though - I'll be studying all holidays to make sure I never get that panicked again!

Ooh, this is beautiful! I love the curve of her back and that only her hair is coloured. :-)

Congrats on passing your German exams, btw! I passed the Mittelstuffe exam maybe ten years ago and I can hardly speak any German now, wah.

Thank you! :) *hugs* I'll admit that I love the effect of only having parts of an image coloured - it can be quite striking.

Thanks for the congrats too - I'm just so very grateful I passed! It was touch and go for a bit, and the relief, now that it's over....wow!!! :) What's the Mittelstuffe BTW? Being in Aus. I haven't heard of it...(I do know how easy it is to forget this language stuff if you're not doing it all the time though - it only takes a few weeks for it to start dwindling!)

Oh, it's some kind of language proficiency degree. Its difficulty level is somewhere between the First Certificate in English and Proficiency in English, which, er, I don't suppose you know since you're a native speaker. But let me just say that when I got the First Certificate I could speak English very well and read any book in English. (With the Proficiency you can get a licence to teach English over here.) I was never that good at German, not even remotely close. :/

YAAAAY!!! I'm mostly alive...I'm sure my brain will come wandering back one day - it's buggered off at the moment, and I don't blame it one bit! My muse poked it's head around the corner to say hi though XD

And I *did* draw feet too! Though if you look closely, you'll see that they're very cleverly tucked into angles that don't require many toes showing....I hate toes (*mutters about certain peoples toes and feet drawing abilities...*)

*hugs you* I'm very glad to be back :)

Here via The Quibbler. So pretty! I love the angular knees and elbows to contrast with that vibrant hair. The line of her braid and how her spine continues it is so . . . pleasing. Even though we can't see her face, this is Ginny to me.

Thank you!! :D I'm so glad you like it - and yep, it's pretty close to the Ginny I see in my head too (kinda gangly-ish)...just got to work on what her face looks like now!
