Finally a wisconsin winter! Our weather had been unusually mild and dry with only a light snowfall for Christmas - until Thursday which gave us a serious storm.. plus more yesterday. Father John, I am very happy to hear of the kind women who drove you to and from Luna! I keep reminding you of how much you are loved by people. It is good to know that you got out and went to your favorite coffee shop :)

We had ice yesterday. It was enough to glaze everything and create hundreds of traffic accidents over in St. Louis as well as a large area around me. Cherokee told me a few minutes ago that they are predicting a glaze tonight caused by "ice mist" which will freeze on everything.

I'm glad you are active with the masses and ready for classes to resume.

God be with you!

When one is in need, one discovers how kind people how and sometimes it is surprising.

Not happy with ice...slipping and falling is one of my fears.

Falling outdoors or here alone in the house is a big fear of mine so I totally understand your fears.

We have heavy fog currently but thunderstorms are predicted to be here by 8 PM.

Good luck as you return to classes tomorrow, Father!

EDIT: Here is our weather for tonight:

Updated today at 6:16 PM
This Evening: Mid 40s. Showers and thunderstorms will develop this evening in advance of a strengthening cold front. Severe storms are possible, especially south and east of St. Louis. The main threat from any severe storms that do develop is damaging winds, but isolated tornadoes are possible.

Good to see you here, and to get your news!! I hope the Luna visits will be plentiful for the rest of the winter. And I think it's wonderful that your community is rich and full with more people right now...
