I've decided that I need to take a vacation. Not a trip to visit family, but a straight-up vacation. I don't know any details - when, where, how - but I know I need to do this. It has been YEARS since I've gone somewhere just for the heck of it.

Abdel and I played tennis this morning, wasted time with the Xbox this afternoon, and made sushi this evening.

I wish it was the weekend everyday.

Nevermind...I feel better now.

Maybe I was just sleepy.

We had a blood drive today in Scottsburg, Indiana at the National Guard Armory and it was suggested that I be there since it was a first-time drive. Unfortunately, Scottsburg is over an hour away and the drive started at 9am. So around 7 this morning, I fell out of bed and into the shower. Work Work Work - I am getting tired of work. I just want to sleep the week away! My mom (and Abdel's mom) was here this weekend and we had a good time. It was super cold for most of the weekend, but we still walked all over Bloomington - to a little restaurant downtown, Abdel's office on campus, the university greenhouse. I went to a party with Abdel this weekend and while it was fun, it reminded me how much fun I used to have in college...with my friends...being carefree. I don't want to be back in school, but I miss the comraderie.

Anyway, I think I'll waste time on myspace until I'm tired enough to sleep.

Even though I used gloves to wash the dishes, my hands are really dry.  But the kitchen looks 100% cleaner, so I suppose my ashy hands are worth it.

1. I don't think we're doing anything for Halloween, but in honor of the season we're making a pumpkin cake tonight.  Yum!  I can't wait to eat it ALL.  Other than Liz's cream cheese pound cake ( Read more... )
