Perhaps I am an optimist but I vote yes. If you are hoping for Bush to nominate someone with "liberal" ideals, you'll be waiting forever. He's the president and this is his right to nominate people from his side.

I think Alito is the best we can hope from him. His past record has ideals that disturb me but also ideals that give me hope.

I say yes. And really, who actually believes he will have any trouble getting in?
