I could! 36,000 excess from last year and 18,000 written in total in November this month, although not all NaNo stuff and I have 52,000. I'm almost a winner!

But yes, for next year. I will. I might even do it after Christmas in between times to make up for missing out in November. Perhaps an original piece as a trial, maybe.

Well done again.

Yes. I felt so good this time last year. You should pat yourself well and truly on the back and float around on the knowledge that you are in fact a lady novellist!

Well done again.

I clocked in with 51196. It was an exhilarating run, and who knows, maybe I will spin some gold out of the efforts, LOL. The biggest thing - this is something I wanted to do, just for myself, and I did it. I sweated blood a few times and was ready to pitch the notebook into the river five or seven times, but when I hit that magic number, I felt like I accomplished something - even if it is only for me. Sometimes selfish is good *wink*

That's really fantastic. I'm truly proud of my friends and their achievements this year. I know how hard it is to do it when there are other things going on that can't be ignored. It's a real accompishment. You are a lady novellist!

I wish I had been able to find time to read them as they were written, but sadly, classes got in the way. But winning is always something to congratulate! :D

What exactly is NaNoWriMo?

Congratulations to all your friends from me, too!

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, although really it should be IntNoWriMo in that it's an international thing.

During October/November anyone can sign up to write a novel during November of at least 50,000 words. It's great fun to do, well after the event you remember it as great fun anyway! It's also a really crazy thing to do!! I did it last year and managed to write 86,000 so I overachieved enough to burn my brain out and only managed to write for four days this year, finishing with 7,700 words on my NaNo idea. Still I started my intended long length Minerva story, so I'm not unhappy.

Next year however will be another story. Can you be tempted to join in?

Oh sure... is it fiction or fanfiction, or both?
Wow, how cool's that? I'll be in next year, for sure!

Thanks for the info.
