I do. I won't say any more (and don't read to lower comments) until you've seen it. But yeah, I do!
I think I always will. Lily calling Harry sweetheart will always do it for me. I had thoughts on that on the way home. How did fresh-from-wand-Lily know it was Harry?!!
I thought Mr Tumnus was very 'Oxford' in his portrayal. Take off the ears and stick a shirt on his back and he could be found in any Uni local in the town. The kids I thought were odd. Susan was too good to be true, very Mary Susan - and what a jaw too! She could crack steel with that. Not that I'm saying they should have been cast for their looks. Edmund appeared as if waiting for an ASBO to start with, that was probably good casting! I had a real objection to Rhinos charging the plains in battle. Was that in the books? And tigers or leopards or whatever they were too. That seemed most odd to me. The land seemed too small for the size of the battle, which equates to one of your issues too.
I didn't dislike it all, it just didn't sit comfortably somehow.
I've not seen Kong. I'm not sure whether I'm going to. I don't think it's my thing and with in excess three hours to sit through to find out, it seems a bit of a risk.
I haven't seen or read the Chronicles of Narnia (Not even the one put on film! And I've been told everyone's read the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe!).
But Goblet of Fire was amazing, I will concur there!
I've only read two of them, the first one written and the first one chronolically in the story - they're not the same thing! The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was first written, The Magicians' Nephew came later but is the first book in the series. I have the others, and one day I'm going to read them. I just never get very far when I try!
Nice. I've seen the books in the bookstores and...that's about it. I hope you do get to read them someday! I do that reading-but-not-getting-very-far thing with the Lord of the Rings books...
