- art nouveau:
One of my preferred art periods. The swirly organic designs and beautiful women are gorgeous. I especially like Alphonse Mucha's art and WMF items. - bustle gowns:
These gowns give the most beautiful silhouette! I love the victorian style and think that the women in that era were ever so elegant in their bustle dresses, gloves, little hats and boots. - cooking:
Mmmm, cooking. I frequently try out new recipes, and I usually buy a cookbook with local recipes from my holiday destination. My fave recipes to prepare for guests are from New Orleans, Germany and Italy. - england:
Yup, I am an anglophile. I love the country itself, the British accent, the castles, Cadbury's chocolate, Fish & Chips, Mini Cooper cars and lots more. :-) - henry viii:
One of the most interesting Kings of England and a very misunderstood person. He fascinates me ever since I stayed at a hotel in London named "Henry VIII" and I wanted to know all about him asap, I even questioned the concierge (poor chap). Coincidentally, the hotel had six floors... - marlene dietrich:
Diva outside + housewife inside = perfect. - pearl jewelry:
Just plain elegant and goes with lots of styles, be they vintage or modern. Adds a touch of glamour to everyday outfits. :-) I own quite a bunch of (fake) pearl jewelry. - renaissance:
Very interesting period in history, art and inventions, especially in Italy. I like visiting renaissance buildings and looking at pictures from that era. I spent most of my visit in the Louvre in Paris in the Renaissance section. - sophie marceau:
One fabulous actress. I first saw her in "La Boum", a kitschy French teen movie. Since then, she made lots of beautiful films. I guess she's best known for her role as Princess Isabella in "Braveheart". - vintage unmentionables:
I'm very interested in how the underwear changed in the last centuries. I even own a book called "The History Of Underclothes".
