More snowflakes!
Day 3 -
I rec reasonably regularly, so instead of making a new set, I'm going to highlight the relevant tags.

Skipping this one, I'm afraid! This challenge is not designed for me. I don't need Snowflake to get me to egg on new podficcers on Twitter, or leave comments to creators I've never met, or to generally poke my words into new spaces.
Day 5 -
paraka/
parakapodfic - Lindsay is someone I've met face-to-face and for all that our fannish interests only really cross in the one place (podfic and doing new stuff with it!) she's great company and a friend. I could pick her voice out of a lineup, but most importantly, I love everything she's done for podfic fandom. She's been on the scene a long time and has helped to reshape who we are a community. Without
multipodicity, we'd probably all still be treating repods (the creation of a second, third, etc podfic of a fic) like a criticism of the original podficcer. When she pitched the idea of
pod_together, I scoffed. I never thought we'd get the authors in numbers significant enough to do match-ups. I'm so, so glad she had confidence; p_t is one of my favourite events on the podfic calendar and has given me some of my very favourite and best fanworks. I fail out of
podfic_bingo every single damn year, but getting the card usually sparks a few new ideas I wouldn't have otherwise had, and man, where do I even start with
pod_aware. If you're not in the community to know it, let's call it a week-long carnival of meta, squee, and fanworks that engages us all. tl;dr THANK YOU, Lindsay.
exmanhater - Kes is the perfect combination of a voice I fucking love to listen to (it's smooth and warm like chocolate, comfortable and distinct), taste in fic that more often than not cater to my own, and as a person, is kind and generous and fun.
somnolentblue - There's a special place in my heart for multifanwork challenge/community mods who go out of their way to be inclusive to podfic. (Which sounds really sinister somehow? I promise it's not.) Although that's how we met, it's not the only reason I'm so fond of her. As a fanwork creator, her knack for worldbuilding is AWESOME. She wrote about a fairy tale and mythology museum that I want to visit. She built well-rounded characters and a vibrant, dynamic universe around the Panic! at the Disco video for "The Ballad of Mona Lisa". Lots of detail to make it feel real, without overwhelming the story she's trying to tell.
