So i'm getting bored at work and i'm thinking of going back to school for either a Ph.D in "Educational Leadership" or "Research, Assesment, and Evaluation." Surprisingly I'm slightly leaning toward the 2nd option. I have a meeting Monday and Tuesday, so I'll update here if I make any decisions leading me closer to my choice...

RPS has a PhD meeting scheduled for early December. From what I understand they do a cohort every few years and pay for all (or nearly all) of it. I really want to get a doctorate too. And for where I'm at right now it's the next logical step.

went to this meeting today and basically if you are all hot and bothered for the "Educational Leadership" track then you are correct. big changes going down @ vcu. here's a rundown of the meeting happening in city of richmond in december

I almost wish I were in the position you're in: teaching, but getting bored and looking for the next step. I'm still far from where I want to be.

I'd like to teach American literature or creative writing at a VA state school.
