Aw, thanks! ::cyber-hugs you back::: I'm very good now, really! Despite everything that's happened, I would even say I'm better now than before. You know, except the arm stuff. :-)

Awww... mostly I thought oh you have such pretty hair!
No, seriously though... you really have thought ALL of this out, and apart from the being uncomfortable bit, it sounds like a plan that will have you fighting fit getting there AND getting back.

Did you see this one (promise not being an armchair doctor!!!!).

That's is a very interesting website. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

My physical therapist told me about a doctor (of course I can't remember his name) who says women shouldn't be wearing bras because is messes with the lymph system in the breasts. Of course, I told her, if he had to carry around testicles the size and weight of avacados he might not be so quick to tell women who carry breasts the size and weight of large melons what to do.

There is so much information available, sometimes it's hard to know what is correct information. Plus, when you've dealt with a deadly disease, it difficult to not let your fears get the better of you especially when there seems to be so many people who want to pull you in all different directions and to their way of thinking, you know?

Thanks for the encouragement (and for the compliments on the hair)! I was pleased about having a good hair day yesterday. Today, not so much! Ha!

Hahahaha... I LOVE your line about the avocados... oh yeah! Of course it messes with the lymph system, but then not wearing bras and having the weight of breasts must do the same for exactly the same reason when gravity takes over.

I have to say I hate it when people who have no idea suggest or point to something (and in this case that was me!!!!), and I was loathe to even send the link cos you know so much about it and I know nothing. But I think, as with all things with the body, knowing conventional and other wisdoms and knowing your body in the way that you do and being the hypervigilant person that you are about this particular issue, you'll do all of the right things. It's also really good that it's only a medium haul flight, rather than a long-haul. You'll be right mate!!!

But I did learn a lot from the website, so it was good for me to see this information.

It just galls me that man would say women shouldn't be wearing bras. (Really, what man wouldn't?) I reallize the breast is fetishized in American culture, but I couldn't understand why he would think not wearing one would be comfortable. To be honest, if I don't have to, I won't wear one, but in public? The girls always have my support.

Would you believe that while I was sick, people sent me emails with links to articles about how underwire bras causes breast cancer? Not only that but looking at a computer screen in low light, red lipstick, and antiperspirant/deodorants also cause cancer. Chemo causes cancer as does radiation treatment. Big Pharma doesn't want the cure for cancer that they already haveto be known because they would lose money. Being overweight puts you at risk for cancer - which may be true, but how do you explain all the relatively slim, healthy people getting cancer and the fat people that don't? And the children ( ... )
