Phoebe really wasn't pleased with this woman that kept swatting Anders. She had always had a problem with people being mean to Anders and even if this person wasn't hurting her Anders, she certainly didn't appreciate the hitting.

Finally, she had enough. She put her coffee down on the counter, her eyes flashing with temper.

"Cut. It. Out." Her voice was a growl. "You hit him again and I'm going to remove your hand."

No, it didn't really phase her that this woman used to be a Pyramid ball. She was now -- unfortunately -- used to this kind of weirdness. But she was past her tolerance limit of the woman hitting Anders.

"It's okay, Phoebe," Anders said tiredly, ducking another swat. "It doesn't hurt and she's got a point."

. . . that entirely depended on how hot the book would be, but Anders wasn't about to say that and earn himself a month on the couch. Shh.

"Yeah, so I wouldn't. But you still read 'em on a regular enough basis, right?" The Pyramid ball poked him in the shoulder. "Look. Seriously, I get your point, all right? Can you give it a rest for a half hour or something, please?"

"Yeah, sure," she said with a shrug, and headed off to find coffee.

That thought should have scared Anders, but it didn't.

"Aren't you supposed to clear it with us first before you bring a date home?" was Bel's reaction to finding Anders with the hot chick.
