[Sawako stares at the Pokegear, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Once she is fairly sure that it is recording, she attempts a smile. The resulting expression would probably send most of her classmates fleeing in terror if they could see her at that moment ( Read more... )

[Have the most comforting smile Dee can give.]

No, it's not a ghost per say. In this world, that would be a Ghost type but not actually a ghost.

I'll give you all the answers I know, 'tho.

[What a nice woman...Although Sawako's a bit disappointed that she can't see ghosts after all, as she'd been looking forward to telling everyone back at school that she'd finally spotted one.]

Thank you so much! To begin with, would you happen to know where I am?

It's a country called 'Johto'- most people aren't from around here, or at least all the people you'll see on your gear.

Heh, it seems we've all been whisked away. Did you ever see Wizard of Oz?

The name is familiar, but I haven't seen it.

W-whisked away?! But then, I wonder if there's a way back. My parents must be panicking right now.

I-it isn't?! That's too bad...I thought Yano-chan and Chizu-chan might be excited if they learned that I could see ghosts now.

Anyone can--. [And then he pauses, frowning a little before looking off to one side. The rules of his world don't necessarily work here. Or anywhere else.] I'd have thought it would be more comforting to be followed by something that's alive.

Yes, I suppose you're right. It just seemed so cute and friendly that I couldn't bring myself to be frightened of it, even if it was a ghost. And since everyone seems to expect me to see them anyway, I'd like to live up to their expectations.

[WHOA that face is a little creepy, Heather won't lie.]

Who the hell knows, honestly?

I've stopped questioning what stuff really is here.

But if they ARE ghosts, they're kind of special ones.

Stupid.

[.... y-yeah Heather hasn't exactly had great experiences with ghost Pokemon.]

[T-THAT FACE. Teddie freezes for a moment before he realizes staring is rude!!1]

U-uh. Yep, that's not a ghost.

... Are you a ghost?

A ghost?! No, not at all! I'm a normal human.

[Perhaps if she smiles wider, she won't appear quite so frightening.]

Pardon my rudeness, but what exactly are you? I've never seen a talking bear before, although with everything that's happened, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

O-oh. All right then! Phew! Nice to meet you then, Miss!

[looking completely relieved]

I'm Teddie. I'm not surprised you haven't seen anything like me before... I am one of a kind, after all.

It's very nice to meet you as well. I'm Sawako Kuronuma.

If it's not a ghost, then what is it? I know it's called a Pokemon, but I'm not quite sure what a Pokemon is, exactly.
