I don't have any good ideas for names, but maybe you could decide it together with the pokémon so it can start warming up to you a little?

Oh, that would make sense! Although I don't think Maru-chan liked me much at first either, even though he came from an egg. But then, animals in general have always been afraid of me for some reason.
