I think that your spouse and your children should be equally important in your life. The reasoning behind my opinion is that when couples have children, they many times put all their energy into raising the kids and lose touch with each other. On the other hand, if you put your spouse first, your kids could end up feeling neglected and not have the sort of connection with their parents that they should. It's really a tough balancing act if you ask me. One of the MANY reasons we do not plan to have children
