Hey! Yup, I'm alive. Still living in Maine and grinding out a retail job at Best Buy at the moment- got my M.A. last year, just as the economy really went into the hole, so I'm counting myself lucky to have a job with benefits. God help me, I'm actually toying with the idea of trying to go back to Japan. Heh.

I'm applying to Teach for America at the moment, which would let me get certified and get a Master's in education, which should open up my options a little. I'm also taking the Foreign Service Test on 12 February, but most people fail spectacularly at least once, so I'm not counting on much there, but it should be interesting, if nothing else.

I actually got a great e-mail from Damien a while back and just didn't get a chance to sit down and answer. Tell him I said "hi"- how's life treating you?
