Atmospheric River? Bomb Cyclone? Not so much, here.

Today an atmospheric river hit the SF Bay Area up through the Pacific Northwest to Seattle. But it wasn't just a normal atmospheric river, it was a bomb cyclone. While these arguably over-dramatically named phenomena brought high winds north of us on up to Seattle, they were close to a nonevent here in Silicon Valley. We got 0.1" (one-tenth of an inch, about 2.5mm) of rain in the early morning. During the day we had gusty winds. Yes, gusty winds are unusual for us, but as with most weather phenomena what's extreme here would only register as medium-spicy elsewhere. I saw some small branches knocked out of big trees, but nothing big enough to cause injury, significant property damage, or a power outage.
