Thanks! This was one of my early-morning in Kyoto strolls, so I got a lot closer to birdie than we did when we saw them later. There was a stepping stone path across the river, so I could walk right up to him. I lose a lot of fine detail from a distance, 'cause I haven't put the money out for a quality telephoto yet. :)
