I gotta stop giving myself such a hard time about my body image!

If you want to work on your self image, I would recomend more subsitive readings.

Feel good pseudo-religions might give you a fast food approach to your self image, but for something lasting and of true value, you need to look at the hard stuff.

I am becoming increasingly convinced that it is the lack of philosophy in peoples lives that leads to unhappiness. That is, they do things which are contradictory and irrational, and this leads to unhappiness as a natural consequence.

I wont tell you who to read, as that could be perceived as dogma, but I encourage you to read something like "The Consolations of Philosophy," by Alain De Botton, in order to get a general overview of the major thinkers.

Here is a guide to the fundamentals of logic.

Here is a good web series on the fundamentals of logic and philosophy, but it does start to wander into the extremes of libertarian thinking. Still it's a good introduction to the basic concepts ( ... )

There are so many places I could go with that but, instead, I will refrain and say this: Thanks so much for the well wishes, and yes it did go well. I'm just waiting for full mobility. I'm impatient to work and start classes again. This was time off I was not really hoping for. But, the momentum is building again, and I will be glad to be back soon.
