Would a recent Mac be likely to come with preinstalled graphics software? I may need to do some image editing on a Mac in a couple of days but don’t actually know much about the machine except that it was purchased in the last year. It’s likely the owner won’t know this info either.

ave been thinking about making an entry for a while, but it’s been such a long time since I posted it would need to be pretty damn comprehensive and after much diversionary blog-reading I’ve decided not to post anything today after all.
Can anyone tell me what this font is? I know I used to have a copy of it, but it must have been lost in the great HD crash a while back and after hours of searching I can’t find it. I think a few TV shows used it in the 70s in addition to this 1969 film.
For anybody that lamented Yahoo removing free POP/SMTP access to their mail system, I suggest giving YahooPOPs! a try. It acts as a local intermediate mail server and so will work with any e-mail program. It’s heaps quicker than using the web interface manually and seems to work reliably despite only being version 0.5!
I know I’ve seen examples of this kind of thing before, but boy-oh-boy it’s still kinda scary. After alternating between the before and after for a while, for some reason the word android is flashing through my brain.
Anybody else have some favourite silly names? One of mine is Elke Bison, which Leigh discovered when working at Die SS (the Department of Social Security) many years ago. I
