Lex had recreated the scene as perfectly as he could. The clearing hadn't changed much and the chess set was set exactly in the same place it had two year ago. The only unfortunate change was there was no snow tonight, so the chess pieces didn't sparkle on their stump in the same way. "Merry Christmas," Anatoly murmured as he leaned against Lex happily, his arms wrapped around him as tightly as he could manage. The recreation of the scene that had greeted him two years ago touched him immensely. This was exactly why they didn't need to express what they felt for one another verbally - it could be shown so much better.

"You changed my life two years ago," he said. "I don't think I could ever thank you enough for that."

"You change mine everyday." Lex said simply. It was a word too long but it was said in the same way as anyone would else would say the common three letters. "And I will never be able to thank you for that."

He held Anatoly close as he looked down at his watch with a small smile. "One minute." He said softly, teasingly as he stayed just out of reach for a kiss.

"You are going to make me wait one minute to kiss you?" Anatoly teased as he playfully nipped at Lex's earlobe. "I thought I was the tease here. I think I shall have to remind you of this later."

"Are you saying it's not worth it?" Lex countered even as he shivered and leaned into the attention Anatoly was giving his ear, his hands tightening around the Russian's waist.
