Lex hadn't come home last night. Anatoly was still in the throes of the worst hangover he'd had in years and while he was quite worried, the incessant throbbing in his head was his overriding concern at the moment. He need a shower and some aspirin and then, only then could he worry.

Lex stood outside the door, head hung as he fought back a sudden headache. Or that's the excuse he would use if caught because really, he was trying to dig up the courage to open the door.

But he didn't want to when the door opened and he blinked into the shocked face of Anatoly. "Hi," was the first thing out of Lex's mouth, not very eloquent due to his surprise.

"That is what you say? 'Hi'?" Anatoly stared at Lex, the worry changing to anger as some of the memories from last night began to filter back into his brain. Kon had made sure he got home all right and he dimly remembered him mentioning something about Lex going home with Clark. That really hadn't resonated then due to his inebriation but it was certainly resonating now.

"You go home with Clark - with Clark and all you can say is 'hi'?"

While before he'd been worried, faced with Anatoly's anger, especially since he had done nothing wrong, Lex's own anger began to grow. "I didn't go home with Clark, he thought I needed a place to sleep off my hangover and I wanted to be sure he got his high ass home safe. We fell asleep when we got there. Nothing happened for you to get so pissy about."
