Lex's exclamation woke Anatoly up out of a sound sleep and he immediately sat up, alarmed. He felt strange, almost smaller somehow and there was an unusual feeling on his chest but his concern for Lex outweighed everything.
Once he laid eyes on Lex, everything was clear. The island was playing tricks on them again and this time, it had turned Lex into quite the distinguished-looking older man. "I have to admit...," he started to say then froze as he heard himself speak at a much higher pitch then normal.
With a sinking feeling, he looked down and discovered that Lex was not the only victim of the island's insanity. He had been turned into a woman, complete with the longer hair and well-developed chest. This was okay, they could manage this, it was only temporary, wasn't it?
He took a deep breath and tried not to panic. "Well. I must say that this is certainly... new."
Distinguished looking was one way to put it. Granted, he did have a momentarily dark thought: at least he’d never look this way at home if Clark was telling the truth.
Realizing he’d awoken Anatoly when he’d spoke, Lex turned around just in time to watch Anatoly realize that Lex wasn’t the only one changed. With a heavy sigh, he pointedly didn’t look in the mirror again as he walked back to the bed and got back in to wrap his arm around Anatoly’s waist and then his eyes remained firmly on the Russian. While not bad for a man his age, his body was still softer in places then he’d like to admit. Certainly not as toned as his father, he thought bitterly, before banishing such thoughts to help Anatoly.
“New that the island has done two of these changes at once. Usually it’s one or the other.” Lex said pointedly, as if it wasn’t a big deal. He leaned in and kissed Anatoly’s cheek. “You are still as beautiful as ever.”
Anatoly ducked his head and found that he seemed to flush much more easily - his cheeks were already flushed and he could see it starting to spread downwards. It was just something else to get used to while the island enjoyed itself at his expense, he supposed.
He lifted his head and touched Lex's cheek, leaning in to kiss him full on the lips. "You are not so bad yourself, you know. You are very handsome, this way."
The flush only made Anatoly more gorgeous and Lex couldn’t help leaning in to give him a proper kiss, sweeping back the longer than usual curls with his free hand as he did so. He wanted to follow that flush with his lips but he didn’t want to stop exploring Anatoly’s new body until the other was ready. As long as it didn’t lead to exploring his own new body.
“I’ll be a young man again in a few days. You don’t have to humor me till then.” He said with a half-smile, not quite sure handsome was really the word for his current state. At least his baldness wouldn’t draw as many stares this way.
