I am concerned about what D&G called, "Micro-fascisms", the fascism of daily life. I had a student say to me in class the other day, "The president is the boss of everyone, he is our leader, and we are sworn to defend him and carry out his wishes"... this is INCREDIBLY fascist desire! So I said that to his face, in front of everyone. They all kind of chuckled. My point is that these are children who really don't know any better, but they are trained to think that one individual will save the day. That there is actually a "Commander in Chief" who we all should obey. There is a fine line between a "Commander in Chief" and a "Fuhrer", and that line is being blurred more and more each day.
