Greetings, friends and allies. For those of you I haven't met, I'm Brother Cavil. There's something I have to say to you, but I'm not going to pretty it up, because it isn't pretty.

We're losing. I'm sure I'm not the first to notice that our kind is getting thrown behind bars at an alarming rate these past few months. At least two members of our organization have already been incarcerated, and I'm almost certain more will follow. Why now, you ask? Why, after all these months of relative inactivity - relative incompetence - on the part of the police, are they starting to win? The answer is simple in that they have one thing we don't, and I'm not talking about their shiny sense of so-called "justice." I'm talking about cooperative teamwork.

That's right. Teamwork. They're certainly no stronger than us, and I'll be damned if our overall numbers don't at least match with theirs. No, these "heroes" work like a well-oiled machine, moving in for the kill together, demanding backup, fighting us with the skills of many rather than the skills of one. And what are we doing? We're minding our own business. We're unprepared. We're the single, solitary gazelle in a field full of lions. We're so frightened of trusting each other that we'd rather go it alone and risk certain capture than form any sort of real alliance. Now, I have a solution to this problem, but like I said, trust is imperative. I ask for all of you to hear me out.

I've designed a communicator program that allows a distress signal to be sent to anyone else who shares the program. It's almost completely automatic. If you were in trouble, all you'd need to do is strike a short series of keys and it would be off. You'd have the option to include how many people you were up against, and the call would also automatically relay your location. That way, those who received the message could theoretically come to your aid. Even better is that the call can only be sent once before the program shuts itself down and requires reinstallation. That way, if the heroes got a hold of you anyway, they wouldn't be able to use your communicator to lure in any of the others.

It's my suggestion that everyone in the Coalition allow me to make this installation into his or her communicator. Imagine the look in their eyes when they think they're winning and suddenly four or five of us pop out of the woodwork. Of course, I'm aware many of you are more solitary. Why answer the distress call? Why risk your own skin to save a near stranger? The thing is, if we keep letting them pick us off one by one with little to no resistance, they're going to keep doing it until none of us are left. But if we take a stand, if we give them a good, hard punch to the face when they're least expecting it, I'd venture to say we have a chance.

I'm hoping you make the right decision.

In a similar vein, I think it would be best if we started looking for new recruits. I have the funny feeling our numbers have thinned out. Does all this sound reasonable to you, Starscream?
