[video flicks on, showing rikku looking kind of flustered. she’s wearing her thief garb, and is tugging on one of her braids. she has the dog tags in one hand, and is fingering them nervously.]
Y’know, when a girl’s dragged out of her own dimension into another one, she kinda likes to be asked about it first. Or told, at least. Don’t get me wrong-I’m always up for an adventure, but. Even this is kind of extensive for my tastes. And I have a pretty unique taste.
Like, this place isn’t full of memories masquerading as live people, which is pretty cool, but it isn’t full of chocobos or Hypello either, which makes it less cool. There is some nifty machina, like this communicator-sphere thing, but... nothing else I really recognize. Plus, really tall buildings-you don’t find those anywhere but Bevelle, or other huge cities. [she frowns, wrapping the braid around her hand.] And Shiva knows I really don’t wanna be there right now.
Moving on.
[and now her expression changes; she gives a half-smirky smile, her spiraled green eyes glinting mischievously.]
Hero, huh? I kinda like it. Better than “Lady” or “Guardian,” anyway. Flows better, y’know?
Anyways, does this place have a name? It can’t be called just “the City,” right? That’d be silly, and a place that brought the Great and Awesome Rikku here can’t be silly. Because I’m totally not silly-if I’m gonna be a hero, I gotta be serious and calm and stuff. Like Auron!
[she struggles to make her face look serious, pressing her lips together and furrowing her brow. but she can’t keep it up, and she giggles as she reverts back to a grin. then her expression fades to something like puzzlement.]
Hey, can anybody even see this? [she taps the camera, getting up close-just one verdant, swirled eye is visible in the feed now.] Is it on right? I thought so, but just in case-
[she raises her voice, almost yelling now.] Hello? Hello! Hey, hi there, I’m Rikku! Anybody there? Answer me, okay?
[she laughs, pulling back from the camera with a grin. she waves cutely, and then the feed cuts.]
