Funny what a good night's sleep, a shower, a fresh pack of cigarettes, and a couple of hearty meals will do for a man.
All you folks from the party...lucky for all of you, we were only out of food for about a day or so. You can go back to eating like normal without any ill effects, there's no special diet or instructions like there would be if we were starving for weeks.
Now. Does anybody want to 'fess up about who got into my apartment while we were trapped in that hellhole and left me a pile of fantastic new cooking implements? I know Usopp didn't do it, he wasn't here the whole time either and he doesn't have the money for all of this. But somehow I ended up with a whole kitchen's-worth of fine new pots and utensils and even that new blender I never did get after the thing with the damn robots months ago. Come on, who was it? I want to thank you with a good dinner.
Oh, and I have a bunch of gift-boxes of cookies I was supposed to give out Monday, but obviously didn't get to. Let's see... [he grabs a piece of paper off the counter next to him, yes he had to write down the list] ...Angelica, Diana, Laurie, Elisa, Edna, and the Pro. Ladies, I'm sorry the cookies are now three days older than they would have been if I hadn't been trapped and fending for my life. If you still want them, I can arrange to get them to you.
I missed a few people at the party - Rikku, Miss Rachel, and Annabeth, I had your gifts but didn't get them to you. Miss Maggie, Miss Inoue, and Miss Sally, I have yours here. Oh, and Miss Yukina! I got you something in addition to the seashell, which I still have to give you. Let me know how I can get these to you all.
[a pause, he eyes the comm like he wants to switch it to private, and then bah, to hell with that] Usopp, Zoro. I'm cooking for a charity dinner on Saturday, but then I'll be home. Maybe the three of us should just stay in by ourselves that day. There's a movie people have been telling me I should see ever since I got here, some pirate movie about the Carribbean Sea, and since I just sailed there last month I'm kind of curious.
