[Text] Thoughts On The Porter.

May 03, 2011 18:42

Something Toph told me a while ago got me thinking. I've been doing a lot of reading and research about people getting Ported out and I think I've figured something out. I don't really have much of a way to test my ideas and I don't know for sure if I'm right, but it's the best I've come up with so far.

I put my notes back here so they don't take up all your screen space unless you want to read them. )

So it's a multi-verse theory, then. I guess it makes some minimal sense--more than laser-guided, perfect memory modification.

Though it doesn't necessarily explain why the Porter would bring certain people back more than once, different version or no. That would be too much coincidence for it to be random.

I don't know either. The Porter doesn't seem to talk to anyone, so I don't really have anyone to ask directly.

There must be some rhyme or reason behind it... there has to be. I don't think someone who made this would just set it on "random" and walk away.

Yeah, that seems like a waste.

Though it calls into question the hero label itself.

That could just be a label to get people's attention. It's hard to say, really, with no real authority on the subject to ask.

This gets trickier and more interesting the more I think about it.

Yeah, it's one big puzzle.

I think it'd be less irritating if we weren't being toyed with.

You think the Porter is deliberately messing with us?

Could be. Or whatever the greater purpose it, it just happens to mess with us. Either one is plausible.
