Well. [Pause.] I've sent messages. I've knocked on his door. Again. And again. When I stepped inside his apartment after a full day of nothing, there were no signs of forced entry, but his communicator was there and he was gone. He is gone.

I can't find him. He isn't here.

Got a lot of looking done in the last two minutes?

It's how my power works. If he were in the City and I were looking for him, I'd know where he is. I don't think he can block me, since it's worked before.

I'm looking now, but turning up nothing.

Reasonably so. He's not in my range, at least.

Best odds are he was Ported out, and that beats the alternative.

Or hurt. He doesn't exactly have a lot of enemies, if someone was after him, it might just be to get to someone else.

But even so, I've located inanimate objects before, there's a good chance I'd be able to get a reading on a corpse, if he was one.
