Hard to tell. There was only one guy on camera, plus a few others who spoke offscreen and at least one cameraman. Has to be a bunch of them if they're deluded enough to think they can pull this off, though.

They don't want to kill us - they want the Porter to make us go away so they can have all their... whatever they were talking about back. It sounds like they lost something important to them every time the Porter brings someone in.

Things they've lost that the Porter took from them, just as we lost our worlds thanks to it. Although, it's not really fair since when we go back things go back to normal for us, but not for over here.

If the Porter made the things it took away come back as they were when we left, that'd be fair. But it doesn't so they have some right to be angry.

But that doesn't give them the right to try and kill people.
