[The video feed comes up on a gentleman sitting in what must be Central Park, against a verdant background of green leaves. Where he is, though, is difficult to say - you can't see any pedestrians around. Hm ( Read more... )

I've been better. This world is disconcerting, to say the least. The recent temporal upheaval isn't helping matters.

Is This A Specific One You Refer To Or Is It Just The General Disorientation Involved With Arriving On This Earth

A specific one. A few months ago, an artifact was used to re-arrange time in this dimension, resulting in the spontaneous creation of three new countries and the population of space surrounding this world. The discrepancies are difficult to reconcile.

Well That Is Indeed Curious
But It Sounds As Though Youre Already Familiar With The Cause If Not The Culprit

Cause and culprit both, actually. It's not the event itself; it's the consequences. The timestream here is... snarled, to say the least.

It Sounds As Though We All Have Things To Acclimate To In This Case
Unless You Intend To Attempt A Repair On The Matter

I cannot repair the matter; it's a certainty in this timeline, part of the alpha. Attempting to correct it would create a splinter timeline. Indeed, several already exist, and few of them are pleasant.

Well Ill Defer That To You Then
I Have Some Degree Of Awareness As To How These Matters Work
But Im Hardly An Expert
Though Somehow I Imagined Splintered Timelines Would Be Far More Numerous Already
Though Am I Correct In Assuming The Ones That Are Non Alpha Are Typically Doomed

Hypothetically in this place there are infinite alternate timelines.
And yes, those that aren't the alpha have a habit of being doomed.

What Happens Then
When The Alpha Timeline Appears To Be Doomed As Well

Not exactly a question relevant to this timeline.

Not To This One
I Was Inquiring For The Sake Of My Home Timeline

Our home universe is clouded to me at the moment, revealed day by day in time. The nature of this place occludes my vision. Ergo, I cannot say.
