The weirdest part is probably that this is real.

Hello.

Looks like that's another against my dream theory. And there is almost an alarming rate of beautiful women in this city. Hello.

Well, maybe there's a separate dream reality, and we're both right.

( and just a smile. compliments will get you everywhere. )

I'm Donna. Welcome to the aptly, but not very creatively, named City.

I'm not eve sure how that would work, but there seem to a number of people who know more about dreams than I do here.

Jensen, I appreciate that welcome.

I'm not much of an expert, myself, but the fact that I've had dreams while being here either means that I must be awake the rest of the time, or that it's just more complicated than I'm willing to contemplate.

Other than the metaphysics, is there anything else you'd like to know, Jensen?

A dream within a dream? Now I really have heard everything.

How about my chances of getting out of here any time in the near future... or, at least the next couple of years?

I'm going to go with Occam on this one and say it's not that.

...that's a difficult one. Apparently it varies, for everyone. Some are only here a few weeks, others over a year. There's no way to know.

I'm not sure I could even fully wrap my head around the idea anyways.

But the important thing you're saying here is that there is a way out?

The same way you got in, really. If the Porter decides to send you back, then it will.

Any way of convince the Porter to let me go back sooner?

Not that I've heard of, yet. Sweet talking and threats are equally ineffective, I'm afraid.

Yeah, I'm not sure how well computers usually register things like fear. So I'm guessing by my logic things like bribes are out too.

As far as I know. It's a pretty uncertain position to be in, but you're in good company, at least.

Say yours for example? Because I'm definitely not complaining about that part.

You're sweet. I'll see if I can't hold you to that opinion.
