[Oh hey, look! It's Gerry, in costume checking himself out in the mirror. You can tell this because he's holding the communicator in his hand and it's all very MySpace up in here sans angles

It's not that I don't like it -- [this is a shameless lie] -- but kid, it's just not you. I know this is a little silly coming from a guy in a mask, but you've gotta be true to yourself.
It's not silly. [And he drops the voice.] It's probably the best advice you've ever given me, that I've ever gotten ever! [It's so easy to please him when you're Spidey.]
I was just told to take my identity more seriously, so I thought I'd try it out.
Well, not that I'm not flattered, but -- [This is turning into a bit of a refrain.] That's pretty good advice, actually, but a fake voice isn't gonna help you that much. It's obviously fake, so it's only going to draw attention to exactly what you're trying to hide, see?
[And now ENCRYPTED.]
Try to exaggerate or play down your accent. Pitch your voice a little higher or lower, but not so much that it's a strain. Use different word choices. It's all in the little details adding up.
Problem is, most folks on the Network associate your own voice with you, Spidey the Second, intead of you, your mild-mannered civilian self. You might want to tweak your civilian voice instead, and that makes it even more important that it should be as natural a change as possible.

[His voice sounds back to normal now, and he's rubbing the back of his neck a little, partially because he feels a bit embarrassed now, and partially because 'omigod Spidey words of wisdom!']
I'll start practicing with that right away... I guess I went a little overboard with the voice, huh? I just thought that if I changed it, maybe I wouldn't be so obvious. I mean, Spider-Girl already knew, Reilly figured it out when he fought me, and a bunch of others know now too. [Not mentioning that Norman Osborn is one of them.] I don't want to screw up and somehow get you into trouble because people know who I am.

Gerry, get your own identity straightened out first and I promise the rest'll come together soon enough. Don't worry about me -- I've been doing this for years, I can look out for myself.

I know. That's what I'm trying to do, but it's just... difficult. I want so badly to be just like you, and I built my identity around you because you weren't around anymore back home.

... Shucks.
Look, that's -- I'm flattered you think so much of me, really, I am. But in the long run you'll be a lot happier starting from who you are, instead of trying to be like someone else. Even a sensational role model like yours truly.

What? No! I still want to be just like you, sir! I still want to be Spider-Man, or Spider-Boy whatever. It just doesn't make sense when you're here though, right?
Kid, just a friendly hint -- if you want to ask a girl out you might want to take a lozenge first.

It's not working? I thought it sounded pretty cool! You know, like, really mysterious and dark vigilante type cool.

[There must be a nice way to say this...]
Well, maybe a mysterious and dark vigilante who gets hairballs occasionally.

So... You don't like the voice?
