Tavros waits in his apartment in the MAC. It seems big, and was built for someone taller than he is...though he estimates that it will be more suitable as he grows. ...If he grows. Do dead trolls grow? Probably not.

Anyway, he could reach things and walk through doorways without banging his horns, so that was...good enough.

All the same, it was good that Kanaya was coming over. Without Tinkersprite or Prospit there, it was hard to feel safe or relaxed about sleeping in a strange place. Also he wanted to see if she was okay.

Kanaya still had a bandage across her head as she waited for the wound to fully heal. She was still in her troll form, though that wouldn't be so strange for Tavros, as he'd yet to see anything other than that, even if some of the current particulars may be strange to him.

She was taking sips from a water bottle full of a deep red liquid, and had a picnic basket under one arm, which she set on that table and began digging through after she entered the room.

"I assumed you wouldn't have had anything to eat yet, much less anything in your apartment available, and so took the liberty of bringing over a few things!"

The bandage almost distracts his attention away from the glow around her - almost. Here's another major change, another mystery, to drive home the message that Tavros can't take anything for granted anymore.

And she'd gotten hurt. And it had been his fault. She seemed to not want to talk about it, but he couldn't just... Stepping up next to her, he puts his arms around her shoulders for a brief, awkward hug. Hopefully she'll know how sorry he is for all of it.

Stepping away, he shifts his attention to the basket and it's contents. "Yeah, I hadn't even realized it, but, food sounds really great."

It's all a little brittle, but he smiles for her as best he can when he finally looks back up.

You know, just in case she was totally disgusted and he needed to go hide in a closet or something.

She squeezes his shoulder and gives him a smile. As far as Kanaya's concerned, the important thing is that he wasn't hurt. She'll take on whatever she has to if it ensures that.

Back to the basket, she began pulling out a few containers.

"It's nothing too complicated, just enough to tide you over until we can take you to a grocer's. I have chicken noodle soup here, salad to help you keep up your greens, peanut butter and bread to make sandwiches, a bit of honey, grape juice, some butter... Oh!" She grabs a plate out and pulls off the foil she'd wrapped over it. "And as I'm sure you'll want something sweet, chocolate chip cookies!"

"Oh, uh...it all looks really good, but...maybe not the soup. Tinkerbull said I shouldn't have meat. And I, uh, don't really want to eat animals anyw- oooh cookies!"

"Yeah, come to think of it, I, uh, don't really know when the last time was that I ate. Before we started playing, I guess."

She put the container of soup back in the basket and took another swig from her bloodbottle. "Do you think the rest of it will tide you over until the morning?"
