V. 4 Issue 1 -> Video

[ No matter how many times he has been ported back, it's still a slap in the face. He knows how to work the communicator well enough to turn on the video function and speak. He's wearing his golden costume, goggles on, and a troubled expression. ]

Some things never change.

Can anyone tell me the date? And...uh, if anyone I know is here?

[Soooo around about 5-10 minutes later, the Bug lands in front of the Porter building and Ted hops out, looking around for Booster.]

[boosterbutt]

[ Booster feels restless from the influx of memories to the waiting to all the things left unsaid and unsolved back home. Max had escaped. Through all the hoops and hurdles they got through, he still escaped. It left Booster uneasy and the recreation of the Justice League International was supposed to help, but then the Porter lady called.

Not that Booster isn't grateful. Responsibility doesn't fall on his shoulders in this place so much and the biggest plus...Ted.

The Bug, big and blue, lands close by and Booster can't help the huge smile on his face as he surges forward to throw his arms around Ted and with ease picking him up and swinging him around. ]

[notniteowl]

Whoa, hey, buddy! [Ted grins back and gives him a hug in return, just as tight as Booster's.]

God, I missed you. [He settles back on his feet when Booster sets him down, beaming so hard his cheeks are going to hurt later.]

[boosterbutt]

This never gets old. [ He puts Ted down, but he's reluctant to keep his hands to himself as if completely letting Ted go will send Booster hurdling back into his home world. ]

Did you cry for me? Wear a black arm band? I've missed you too.

[notniteowl]

[Ted has no complaints with this. But he gives Booster a little nudge all the same, and slings an arm over his shoulder.]

The kitties pined for their daddy. I didn't wear a black arm band, sorry to disappoint. [And he gives him a slightly worried once-over.]

You're okay, though? I don't have to make you a giant robot suit again or anything?

[boosterbutt]

The cats! You remembered to feed them, right? [ Part of Booster worries Ted hoarded all the food for himself in his man cave, leaving his poor kitties to fend for themselves on scraps of leather and rain water. ]

I'm all in one piece. All the cuts and bruises fixed when I ported through.

[notniteowl]

Of course I did. They've had kitty play-dates with Gaster and everything.

Good. [He gives Booster another little nudge, just to make sure he's not going anywhere any time soon.]

[boosterbutt]

[ That makes Booster smile brightly. ] And Zee? You remembered to feed her too?

[ It's so easy to fall back quickly into step with Ted around. Skeets had warned him about this back at home--no, back at that other, grimmer place. Now, Booster didn't care. There were no repercussions for him having Ted right there. ] Want to go home? If you haven't burned it to the ground yet.

[notniteowl]

[He slings an arm around Booster's shoulders and grins.] 'Course I did, I had to make sure she shared the potato chips.

[And that grin gets a little deeper.] I haven't, though I'm in the process of moving stuff to the new office. So it's ...not exactly organized. Not that it ever was, really.

[boosterbutt]

New office? [ His conversation with Donna is still fresh on his mind. He was going to wage war on that house. ]

Yeah, finally started up KORD Industries again. With some help from tall, dark, and scary. [This is a bit of a proud grin.]

[boosterbutt]

I thought tall, dark, and scary disappeared? That's what Catwoman told me.

[notniteowl]

He did, but he funded me before he went back home.

[boosterbutt]

How generous of him.

Why is he rich no matter where or when we are? I always wondered that.

[notniteowl]

I dunno. [A little shrug.] ....Maybe he's just good with money? Or maybe he has a secret money superpower.

[boosterbutt]

That's so not fair.

So, let's get it over with. I want to see what you did to our house.
