Video | Nightmares make a better prison than do iron bars

Dec 03, 2011 21:02

[The video comes on to a scene of Gamzee sitting in prison. The usual toothy smile he's got is replaced by a strange look that could almost be something akin to serene.]

It's real motherfuckin' funny being up at in here again. Figures we'd only get to being here when were set to not all ripping a motherfucker's face off.Maybe we'll just have to ( Read more... )

[ speaking of moirallegiances ]

Terezi, I understand your discomfort with this arrangement, but what you're doing now is deeply inadvisable.

What's that supposed to mean?

[oh, somebody's sounding a little sharp.]

It means that you're becoming clearly upset by your continued reactions with him, and potentially causing upset with him likewise. While that is the last thing we need him to be, that's more Karkat's concern.

Mine lies with how this appears to be affecting you. [ wow did she accidentally just draw a parallel between karkat's relationship with gamzee and her own with terezi? oops ]

[oops is right, as there is a conspicuous silence as terezi takes a moment to comprehend that comparison.]

Really.

Um. [ shit is that what she's trying to do here that's how they've been kind of...ending up lately so she kind of maybe assumed a little what if this was a complete accident and terezi doesn't feel that way at all what the fuck is she even doing oh god oh god oh god ]

Possibly.

A little.

If it's alright, I mean.

[and in a case of the most unfortunate timing ever, terezi picks this moment to get distracted by gamzee pushing all of her buttons at the same time. there's no response for about five minutes, and when it does come terezi is pretty clearly at a whole different level of upset.]

What?? [woah, a little too much aimed at the wrong person there.] I mean, yes, it's fine. Fuck.

[ welp this definitely isn't exactly what she was afraid of or anything ]

Terezi, it's imperative that you cease your communication with him immediately. This is not a request.

[ a beat ] I'll be over shortly.

Fine, whatever!

[but despite the tone she does hang up on Gamzee. do you want to action or log or what >:o ]

how about action since i'm making this action now tastesrainbows December 5 2011, 19:22:16 UTC
[ maybe two minutes pass. kanaya has the courtesy to use the door this time, but she doesn't bother knocking ]

So, will the Neophyte need to herself be submitted to inquisition, or do you intend to freely disclose just what this is all about?

Reply

yes action and let's say she's already done that log with karkat seeingeyespit December 5 2011, 19:47:09 UTC
[terezi has discarded her glasses, probably to keep her from being tempted to talk to gamzee again, and is hunched on the scalemate pile by the bed, in a state somewhere between seething and sulking.]

The Neophyte makes a motion that the Sylph get off her case, or His Tyranny will turn this courtblock around and he means it!

[...put a notch on the sullen side of things, then.]

absolutely! tastesrainbows December 5 2011, 20:46:28 UTC
[ kanaya snaps two threads her direction and ends up with a sheet of paper and a crayon from the floor, and begins scribbling on it ]

The Sylph has already filed an injunction with His Tyranny to subpoena this audience. The interrogation proceeds with his full permission.

[ she presents the paper she'd been writing on, revealing it to read:
Neophyte
It Is Highly Recommended That You Disclose Fully With The Arriving Sylph
As The Consequences Of Resistance Are Sure To Be Dire And Swift
You Will First Be Brought Up On Charges Of Obstruction Of Justice And Such Things
And Your Title Probably Revoked For The Entirety Of Your Existence And Without Hope Of Appeal
And Then All Manner Of Unkindness Will Result Im Sure Who Can Really Tell
Just Talk To Her Okay

Signed
His Honorable Tyranny ]

I even came in possession of my own interrogation lamp.

[ she turns out the light so she's the only source of illumination and stands over terezi with an unimpressed but slightly amused look. come on girl she's being really clever right now and it's ( ... )

[terezi holds the paper close to her face to read it, scowling in a manner most surly--but the farther she gets into the missive the harder it is to keep that particular expression up. by the time she reads the whole thing kanaya has commenced in her role as portable interrogation lamp and, try as she might, terezi can't stifle the giggle that escapes her. talk about being a cheating cheater, maryam!]

Okay, fine. The Neophyte takes the stand. The Sylph may proceed with questioning.

[ kanaya sit down on the scalemates and rests a hand on terezi's knee ]

Well, out with it then, as there's clearly something happening with Gamzee here. Is it merely the clear miscarriage of justice, or are my impressions that there may have been something more behind it correct?

[terezi huffs, mouth turned down in frustration. normally she would be coy, but...well, they are in a pile after awkwardly talking about pale intentions. honesty seems to be more appropriate!]

I hate him, Kanaya. Everything that comes out of his mouth is just--

[she wants to say "total bullshit", but that's a lie. so instead she just sighs.]

It's not fair, that after all that he gets to sit in a comfy human jail cell and pretend to say sorry. Don't you think so too?

[ she slumps a little ]

Normally I might agree, but things operate differently here. I've put a great degree of thought into the matter, and simply killing him wouldn't prove to be a permanent solution.

This method will at least cease his campaign's continuance for the foreseen future, though I understand why you may perceive a lack of justice in it.

I want him to pay.

[she understands the quandary they're in where gamzee is concerned. she just doesn't like it.]

Actually, I just want five minutes with him in restraints. I could make him really regret what he's done.

[this is the part of terezi that was magnified last week. not her most attractive side, but that's what moirails are for right?]
