March 18, 1945 - The Case of the Burning Skull [somewhat accidental video]

Mar 18, 2009 10:46

[The video shows a rather askew view of a ceiling, wall, and an upside-down face of a man with a rather obvious hooked nose. What little that can be seen looks quite hospitally. When the man speaks, he doesn't look at the communicator, and his voice is shaky but still recognizably The Shadow's.]

As the last thing I remember was walking on the street and many new posts have showed up on this communicator, it is evident that something happened to me after the rocket attack. [He shifts slightly and the communicator slips to a different angle showing more wall, evidently he put it on the bed.] Since I am now in what appears to be a hospital, I assume that I was knocked unconscious somehow and was taken here by someone, and for that I thank them. However, it does mean that I am likely unable to help currently as I have been told to stay put by a busy nurse, and I was brought up to listen to medical professionals. In any case, there is little that I can do as while being unseen is quite useful in most situations my current lack of weapons of any sort renders me somewhat unhelpful in the city's current plight.

[He looks down for the first time, frowns at the screen being on, and turns off the comm]

[He got knocked out by falling rubble or a truck-to-the-head or something like that. That's my excuse for not posting yesterday, and I'm sticking to it. If someone wants to call dibs on hauling him off to the hospital then go ahead]
