WARNINGS: possible blood and violence?
SUMMARY: The True Lightning Rune is on the loose, and the City will not escape unscathed! Lightning danger is high. Somebody has to try to stop it. Also, it's a giant electrical unicorn, you gotta have a look at this thing. TAG YOURSELF IN PLEASE. Indicate open threads and time/date of the occurrance in the subject line.

Even in the City where the locals toss out reference to the zombie attacks, vampires, robots, and other crazy things, a giant six-legged beastly unicorn casting off shocks of lightning everywhere it roamed was Not Something You See Every Day. At times it flickered in and out of the buildings like a hologram, other times it seemed to touch ground and cast enormous shadows from the constant glow of electricity around it. It roamed across the open sky as if on wings, blue flame sprouting from its hooves. Wherever it went, bolts of lightning literally out of the blue struck any target it could find, be it random or willful.
Yet, the thing seemed tied to the City. Perhaps in this world where it was the only True Rune, it couldn't travel far from the host it had just left. Perhaps there were just so many glaringly obvious targets. Whatever the reason, it concentrated its presence and its attacks on the area, confused and enraged and bristling with metaphysical power. To be sure, if left to itself, the thing could probably level the city - already there were fires said to be sparked by lightning. Good thing there were a lot of heroes around, right?
