WHO: Sally Jupiter, Open
WHERE: Random locations of the City
WHEN: January 2nd through the 6th yes, it's one of those open RP logs.
WARNINGS: Depends on who shows up
SUMMARY: Laurie's gone (seemingly for good this time around, but at least it's not due to death), a new year Sally thought she'd never see in her life has rolled around, and the team she had been a part of was a bigger pile of bullshit than the Minutemen. Suffice to say she feels lonely and bored, so wandering around the City, hitting up some bars, some shopping districts, and even patrolling an area or two at night in costume seems to be the best thing a girl like her could do.
FORMAT: I'm game for anything / specify date and location in the header

2011...she never thought she'd even reach the year 2000. Hell, she never thought the world would reach the year 2000 with the way everything back home was headed. But Sally was never one to look forward to the future. The past was safer, cozier, and she never really bothered thinking about anything beyond what was currently happening, if only to put her mind at ease and help her sleep better at night. To Sally, the future was a dark place where wrinkles waited for her in the mirror and death creeped around corners and in newspaper clippings; it was an idea she couldn't bear to handle, so she decided not to think of it at all. It was hard nowadays though, considering the future was staring her right in the face.

She didn't like it, which was why she went to the bars of the City as often as she did. They were dark, cool, safe. At least, to her they felt safe, though many would find describing a bar's atmosphere as safe a bit ridiculous considering she was an attractive single woman wandering around on her own. But hell, if there was one thing she liked about this decade, it was the fact that her wandering around by her lonesome was less of a taboo than it was back in the forties. Even a superlady such as herself sometimes had to have some form of male supervision back in the day, whether in the form of Larry or some other fella on the team.

That meant she could switch from a bar outing to a stroll in an expensive shopping district without a faint grumble from anyone but the men trying to hit on her in the bar. She could be as erratic as she wanted to be with her decisions, hopping from bar to bar or from place to place. Larry wasn't here to scold her, and Laurie...Laurie...Laurie wasn't here to roll her eyes at her mother's lack of direction anymore.

Sally shakes her head at that thought, and finally gets around to locking up her apartment before placing her hands in her pockets of a fashionable winter coat as she lightly walks down the stairs into the cool brisk winter weather of a new year. Christ, as strange as it was having her kid in the City around the same age as herself, she sure has hell missed her. But...Laurie was better off back home. At least now she knows there'll be some kind of future for her...if this world is anything like their world. And, like Sally had reassured herself and others ever since the 29th: it's one less thing to worry about.

So why did she feel the need to fill up the void of time and soul-crushing loneliness by busying herself with rather meaningless outings.
